Back on track this weekend in the No.24 Heritage Motorsports Ford Mustang with Mike Cope Race Cars and for Round 3 of The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli at the 2.54-mile circuit at Road Atlanta along with the Formula Drift series - May 11th through May 13th. Thursday - promoter test day

Friday - two official practice sessions and qualifying - Qualified P5, will start on the inside of row 3. Hoping the weather holds.

Saturday - 40-lap race (101.6 miles) at 11:30 a.m. The rain held off and the morning fog lifted for the TA2 field. Came home with a P3 finished in a race that had two full course cautions.

Dillon Machavern, in the No. 24 Heritage Motorsports Ford Mustang also out of the Mike Cope tent, would complete the TA2 podium—also his third podium of the year, and fifth consecutive dating into 2016. The finishing position sees Machavern retain his lead atop the points standings.
