Dillon Machavern Poised to Tackle 13 Hour at VIR in Aston Martin

The recently crowned 2013 ECR and Tarheel Cup Endurance Series Champion for the second straight season, Dillon Machavern is no stranger to a challenge. That familiarity with the unexpected will be exactly what he needs to take on the ever-eventful 13 Hour Charge of the Headlight Brigade at Virginia International Raceway. The SCCA test of skill is one of the three pillars that make up the “Triple Crown of Club Endurance Racing”, and Dillon is aiming to etch his name into the record books as he takes on a strong field of fellow competitors.

His weapon of choice for the challenge ahead is the #24 GT4 Aston Martin of Mitchum Motorsports, an experienced team with a knack for finding ways to win.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity.” Dillon says. “It’s an incredible team, beautiful car, and wonderful event. I enjoy the endurance events where you can settle in behind the wheel and get into a rhythm, this this event caters to perfectly. I’m also looking forward to sharing the car with fellow P1 Groupe driver Tim Bell. After last years’ SM-class victory with Panic Motorsports, I’m hoping we can make our way to the overall win this year!”
