MACHAVERN SET FOR TA-2 TRANS-AM SERIES DEBUT

When the 2015 Trans Am Series kicks-off at Sebring International Raceway on Sunday, March 1st, Dillon Machavern will be behind the wheel of a powerful new ride, the Heritage Motorsports TA-2 Mustang built by Tommy Riggins of Riggins Engineering.

Machavern, the 2014 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Amateur Champion, moves to the Trans-Am Series for the 2015 season with momentum on his side and a fierce determination to win. Hot on the heels of a successful 2014 season that included wins in the SCCA SE Division SIC, ARRC at Road Atlanta, USMajors – Eastern Conference, setting the track record at VIR in his Spec Miata and capturing his third SCCA SE Division ECR Championship. Machavern also piloted the Mitchum Motorsports #10 BMW in the Continental Tire Series..

Machavern is eager and more than ready for the challenge of this new series, “I look forward to joining the fastest growing series in road racing and hope to build on last year's success in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series in the Trans-Am series. During our pre-season test, the team worked well together and the car was quick. Everyone is excited to see what the 2015 race season will hold for the Heritage Motorsports, PPG, UniFirst, TraqGear Racing Innovations team.”

Machavern joins a group of 33 TA2 competitors, the deepest field in the history for the Foametix Trans Am 100 at Sebring, a testament to the continued growth and popularity of the series.
